Chapter One - Hopes Growing Up

quick recap poor little Hope became and orphan immediately after being born but luckily she was found by a older man who lives on the Island she was born...

"okay I'll call the police station see if they have any records on the Diamond Family..."

"hey I was wondering if you knew anything about the Diamond family?...... really?.... have you checked the records?.... alright well the reason I'm asking is I have found a baby probaly a day old or so and she had a necklace in her blanket saying her last names Diamond... yeh it said her first name aswell.... Hope... Hope Diamond..... no trace of a birth record? well thats strange.... well can you spread the news around I will look after her untill someone claims her... alright thank you oficer"

"what are we going to do with you hey? you know Hope I never had kids, I hope I'm feeding you right"

Time flew by and it wasnt long untill it was Hopes birthday but nobody claimed her so it looked like she would be living perminantley with this kind stranger

"Happy Birthday Hope"

he tought her everything she needed to know her first word was disco ball well technically 2 words :L

"this cribs a bit small for you now isn't it Hope guess I should make you a new one"

good old Andrei (that's the seiner looking after Hope) planted some flowers for Hopes parents 

Hope was enjoying playing in the sunshine

"I'm sorry whoever you two are I don't know what happend to you but what I do promice you is that I will make sure Hope grows up well and knows everything she needs to I promice to protect her but what I don't understand is her legs, why are they covered in blue scales I coverd them up incase they bring any danger to her and I hope that I live to see her reach becoming a teen I would hate to see her go into care, anyway I'm gunna go make sure she's alright, I hope you two are at peace"

"hehe look Popa I'm riding a see horse look hehe"

"haha arent you a clever little girl"

"hehe"

Andrei worked on Hopes potty training he wasnt keen on changing dirty dypers but who could blame him :L

once Hope was potty trained he tought her how to walk

it wasnt long untill Hope had learnt to walk Andrei was so proud to be able to call her his but he couldnt help feeling guilty, he knew somethng bad must have happend to her real parents so when she is old enough he will tell her the truth about what happend she was to young to understand anyways

Andrei was realy pleased with how the new cot had turned out he thought it was one of his best peices of work, he wasnt a crafter he was a fisherman but for some reason it just came natuarley to him

Hope really liked her slop

one night though Lilly and Jake came to check on Hope but were sure to help themselves to some grub while they were visiting

".....I should speak to my doctor... these pills are probaly making me hallucinate..."

It wasn't long till Hope turned into a child, the days were just flying by for Andrei

"look Popa glitter"

it wasnt long untill Hope started to question her Andrei about her legs she couldnt understand why nobody else had scaley legs but poor Andrei couldnt explain to her and he felt awfull for not knowing, poor Hope was ashamed of her legs so she coverd them as best she could she was terrified about other people mocking her for such an extreme difference

the sea would call out to Hope she didnt know why but she felt as though she had to go in it depite the fact the sea was below 0'c 

she couldnt be happier in the sea whenever she went in the sea it was as if a void was filled although going in the sea in winter sure did worry Andrei he was terrified of her catching hypothermia but Hope seemed to have some sort of immunity to the cold waters she could get cold on land but not in the ocean she couldnt understand it nor could her Popa 

"come on Hope out of the sea it's too cold"

"but Popaaa"

"no Hope come on I'll get the boat were going into town"

"why Poppa?"

"I wanted to take you to the Libary"

"Can I stay hear I aint keen on books"

"I wanted us to look into your legs"

"....okay I guess so then"

"Popa your not ashamed of me are you?"

"what?! No I could never be ashamed of you, your my beautiful little girl"

"....Popa...."

"yeh?"

"...nothing..."

"okay Hope"

"right were hear how about we go on them computers over there"

"alright Popa"

"find anything Poppa?"

"no but I did find something else"

"what did you find?"

"A house boat"

"oh?"

"yeh and we can aford it aswell"

"realy?but arent they expensive?"

"well yeh but I have a tone of money in my saveings"

"then why do we live in a shack?"

"I guess I just feel closer to nature that wat"

"so are we moveing?"

"well would you like to?"

"will I get my own room?"

"yep"

"then lets move Pops!"

"haha alright I'll but this boat then"

"so what do you think Hope?"

"I don't like it..."

"what? why?"

"I LOVE IT"

"hahaha ooooh I love you Hope"

"hehehe can I go see my room now?"

"aslong as you go to bed whilst you at it, its late"

"okay Popa *sigh*"

"whats wrong?"

"we never did find out why my legs are different"

"I'm sorry Hope"

poor Hope hopefully she will learn why her legs are different soon

also I was watching Hope go to school and I saw this cutie just wanted to share him :3

Hope couldn't wait to get home one day, she was haveing a hard time at shcool no one knew about her legs she kept them well hidden but she was that scared of someone finding out she struggled talking to anyone so she was seem as an outcast and no one ever tried to be her friend infact most people just wanted to target her knowing she wouldnt fight back but today was her lucky day well afternoon anyway her day was pretty bad schools rough but what she was about to find when she walked in the door was going to cheer her right up

"ay? what the? where did you come from?"

"hehe I like you too"

"oh I see you've met Daisy"

"so that's what her name is, what is she doing hear is there someone visiting us?"

"nope, Daisy if for you"

"ay?"

"I know you struggle with shcool and I know how much you want a dog so I figured seeing as your nearley a teen you were ready for a dog"

"Wow! thankyou Popa Thankyou!"

"I love you Poppa"

it wasnt long untill Emilys birthday arived so Andrei decided to drive the houseboat to somewhere with less people about to make her birthday more special, he did it in the night when Hope was "asleep" to keep it a suprise

"daisy is it just me or is the boat moveing? I though Poppa was asleep ahwell I'll go check it out in the morning"

"poppa?"

"happy birthday Hope"

"where are we? why did you move the boat?"

"well its your birthday so I thought it would be good to go somewhere a bit more secluded"

"awww thats realy thoughtfull I hope you got some rest though were a long way of port"

"don't worry I'm fine Hope"

"happy birthday Hope"

"wow... your even more beautiful than I could have imagined"

"awwww Pop's"

"also Hope you old enough to know about your past"

"what do you mean?"

"*sigh* I'm not your bialogical farther I found you on the beach on our little Island you were growing up on before we got this boat, I also found 2 gravestone I asume they were your birth parents I don't know what happend to them but something tragic thats for sure and in your blanket I found this *passes Hope her necklace* I waned to wait untill you were old enough for giveing it to you I'm sorry for not telling you sooner"

Hope stood there and looked at her necklace she knoticed the inscription *Hope this neclace will protect you from harm always remember you are part of the sea and even if you get married one day your last name will always be Diamond, you will always be a Diamond no matter what* 

"pops?"

"yeh Hope"

"what does this mean?"

"I don't know Hope but I want you to wear it and never take it off for me and your birth parents it clearly means something"

"don't worry Pops it will never leave my neck also you will always be my poppa this just meens I have a 2 Poppa's and a mum"

"haha yeh I guess I does"

"I love you Poppa"

"I love you too Hope"

"Poppa?"

"Hope? What hapening?"

"I don't know Poppa? Why are you floating?! Whats happening?!"

"Poppa?"

"oh my watcher! no Poppa! Poppa don't leave me! please don't go Poppa!"

"I love you Hope"

"pleae Poppa don't go you and Daisy are all I have Poppa please don't leave me"

"I'm sorry Hope I don't have a choice"

"but... but.. Poppa Please!"

"poppa..."

"AWOOOOOOOOOOO"

"daisy its gunna be okay, its gunna be okay you hear me I promice you Daisy"

Hope started to cry as she set the boat on course to her old home she knew where she was going to place her Poppa's grave stone

"Mum, Poppa... Poppa 2 I wish you were hear I feel so alone"

"at least I have Daisy"

"I just wish you guys were hear please come back...please...come back....please"

the sea was calling Hope it seemed to calm her so she decided she would take a dip but when she went in the water something magickal happened 

"what the? whats happening?!"

"Oh my watcher... I have a tail!"

"I'm a mermaid!"

"omw I can swim so fast"

"WOOSHHH haha I can breath underwater"

"Check it Daisy I'm a mermaid"

Daisy looked at Hope for a moment puzled but then her tail started to wag and she let started to bounce about

"haha I love you Daisy"

"Woof!"

having discovered she was a mermaid she set of with Daisy to the neatest diving spot

"well hear go's nothing"

"wow its amazing... just look at this place, Popa would have loved this place I hope he can see me hear and I hope my birth mum and dad can aswell"

"I still can't beleive it I'm a mermaid I wish I could stay hear forever but I cant I have to look after Daisy I wish she could see this place aswell"

"that cave looks creapy I should probaly avoid it for now"

"I wonder whats up hear"

"omw a treasure chest!"

"I wonder whats inside"

"WOW look at all this I shouldnt need to worry about getting a job now I know I'm a mermaid I can easily live of doing things like this I just gotta make sure I go when there are no divers about it could be dangerous if someone found out about me being a mermaid... you know what I kinda wanna go in that cave..."

"*gulp* well hear go's nothing"

"well thats weird why are there candles in hear? and how are they lit were underwater? weird..... ay? whats this another way out?"

"omw and Island and its not been discoverd untill now! that means... I get to own it! OMW OMW right come on girl calm down quit saying omw.... I think I'm gunna go explore this Island, I hope Daisy is alright I've been gone a while"

Daisy was just fine still sleeping dreaming about clowns by the looks of things aswell

"wow its huge"

"I wish Poppa was hear he would love this what am I going to do with an Island though I guess I will think of something in time...."
